We are?

The Association of Artists and Musicians of Kati (ASKAM) is a cultural association created in 2006 by a group of artists aware of their mission « consciousness awakener », armed with their courage and determination to reinvent art in the service of society. It is essentially made up of young musicians and young artists from different fields: music, dance, theater, visual arts, literature, etc. Its motto is Creativity, Dedication and Performance.

The ASKAM Association is a cultural organization which was born from the observation that art must be at the service of the community and in particular at the service of economic and social development. Art must fit with social reality while making its contribution to it; this means that if artists create an atmosphere, this atmosphere must have a direct link with the concerns of social promotion and therefore development.

Our Objectives

Among the objectives of ASKAM we can cite among others:

Participate in cultural and artistic promotion in Mali, in particular through the creation, animation and management of events and/or cultural and tourist services oriented towards development,

Participate in the promotion of participatory democracy by creating a framework for exchange, training and learning of participatory democracy,

Contribute to curbing illegal emigration by promoting endogenous development.

Participate in the promotion of living together and social cohesion.

Our mission

The Association ASKAM works for:

-Capacity building of young people,
-Mutual aid and solidarity between young people without any discrimination;
-Initiation, creation, innovation and implementation of projects promoting sustainable development in Mali.
-In addition to the cultural aspect, it is also active in the fields of education, health, nature protection, and the development of the local economy.
